Review: Successful SVMT event “Debinding of powder-based ceramic and metal processing routes”

On November 26, 2025, the Powder Technology Group of the Swiss Society for Materials Science and Technology (SVMT) held its 7th meeting on the topic of “Debinding of powder-based ceramic and metal processing routes.” The event offered an intensive program of technical presentations, discussions, and a tour of the synchrotron and neutron source at PSI.

A special item on the agenda was our presentation of the “Tailor-made high-temperature furnace for investigating the binder burnout of ceramics using Neutron CT.” With our high-temperature furnace, we are able to investigate the binder burnout of ceramic components live and in 3D.
