3-month internship of Maël Bernard at ANAXAM on the topic of multimodal data processing for industrial applications
From Data Analysis to Automation
His tasks were diverse:
In the analysis of Diffraction data, he tested physical indicators and machine-learning approaches to automatically detect anomalies and enable faster reactions at the beamline.
For video analysis of mixing processes, he developed a grain-tracking algorithm that allowed for detailed investigation of the movement of mineral samples.
In the field of automation for Imaging, he programmed a script for automatic centering and alignment, which was successfully validated at the ESRF and now enhances both precision and efficiency.
Finally, he worked on corrections of tomography data, where he developed methods to adjust for tilts or distortions in the recordings, thereby improving the quality of the analyses.
A valuable contribution
With his curiosity, technical skills, and dedication, Maël made significant contributions to advancing several projects at ANAXAM. We sincerely thank him for his commitment and wish him all the best for his future career.
