In a continuous effort of performance improvement of the quality and functionality of its products, MPS deep-dives into their bearings thanks to in-operando high-resolution Synchrotron imaging. The real time observation of the functioning OneWay bearing was a step-up in the analysis of this complex mechanism.

As part of a customer project to investigate the freezing behaviour of water droplets using Synchrotron-CT, a tailor-made cryochamber with drop generator was developed.

Our imaging expert Valdimir Novak will give a talk entitled “The Power of Synchrotron X-ray & Neutron Imaging for Pharmaceutical Applications” at the workshop for “Advanced Analytical Methods for Formulation Development“, which will be held 04.06. - 05.06.2024 in Darmstadt, Germany.

After a long period of preparation, the time had finally come today. Together with Michael Hagemeister and Aliki Moysiadou from Hitachi Energy, we were able to investigate the in-situ binder burnout of varistors using Neutron-CT for the first time.

These include pressure switches, sensors and pressure transmitters (sensors with integrated amplifier electronics). The clear focus on pressure and flow measurement technology allows the development of innovative products. A diverse range of products makes it possible to meet the most varied requirements for improving processes in systems, machines and plants. In order to meet the constantly increasing market requirements, Huba Control AG is constantly striving to expand its product portfolio through new and further developments of sensors. In the field of flow measurement technology in particular, there is strong market growth and a clear trend towards more robust and durable sensors.

Last week our first online seminar on "Introduction to Neutron and Synchrotron X-ray Diffraction for Industrial Applications" took place. We would like to thank all participants. With 15 participants, the seminar was very well attended.

Last week we visited our customer BRUGG Fatzer in Romanshorn. Firstly, Michael Hanimann, CTO of Fatzer AG, gave us a detailed company presentation. We were then given a tour of the production facility, where huge machines are used to manufacture steel cables for cable cars and cable structures. In the afternoon, we had the opportunity to introduce ANAXAM to Sales Manager Philipp Enzler and the development team of Fatzer AG. We then discussed the results of our initial measurements and defined the next steps in the project.

After a long period of preparation, our team was able to successfully complete the first customer order on the ESRF's ID31 Diffraction beamline this week. A total of over 1000 samples were measured. The measurements have shown that we are able to successfully carry out customer projects at other Synchrotron sources, even with complex infrastructure. The next order for our high-throughput Synchrotron Diffraction setup at the ERSF is already scheduled for January.
