About the Internship
As part of a three-week internship, Maciej Długosz, a student in the 3rd year of the vocational secondary school (FMS) program at the Wohlen Cantonal School, gained exciting insights into the diverse areas of work at ANAXAM.
From administrative and organizational tasks to purchasing, finance, and marketing, all the way to assisting our technicians, he became familiar with the wide variety of areas in our day-to-day work. Not only was he able to pitch in himself, but he also experienced firsthand how innovative technologies and research come together at ANAXAM.
Highlights included visits to the Neutron Source (SINQ), the Swiss Synchrotron Light Source (SLS), and the Swiss X-ray Free Electron Laser (SwissFEL) at the Paul Scherrer Institute, as well as the Nano Imaging Lab at the Swiss Nanoscience Institute (SNI) in Basel. There, Maciej gained a fascinating insight into the world of research and state-of-the-art analytical methods.
